The rising and setting of the sun is a marker in so many ways for those of us who live in rural areas. My day (and many others) begins before the sun ever peeks over the horizon. And at the end of the day, when it is descending into twilight, my heart wants to take stock of what our gracious Maker has given us and how I can recognize the gifts in it. There is one thing we can never get back and that is time. Each sunset is a tick on the clock for which I gratefully take stock of what the day held.
